An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a well known dealership in North Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the workshop, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating workshop operations and supporting the technical team to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organising workshop schedules to maximise productivity
  • Allocating work to technicians based on skillset and workshop demands
  • Monitoring repair quality and carrying out final checks where required
  • Supporting technicians with diagnostics and technical queries
  • Ensuring all workshop processes comply with manufacturer, safety, and environmental standards
  • Liaising closely with Service Advisors regarding vehicle progress and customer updates
  • Monitoring workshop efficiency and helping drive performance improvements
  • Supporting technician development and identifying training requirements
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified automotive technician or relevant technical qualification
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of workshop operations, diagnostics, and quality standards
  • Experience within a premium automotive brand would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills including dealer management systems and workshop platforms
  • Positive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
