Orange Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Electrician to join our client’s property maintenance division, supporting both scheduled maintenance projects and reactive repair works across residential and commercial properties.

This is a great opportunity for an electrician who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. The position involves a broad mix of electrical maintenance, installations, inspections, and fault-finding within a busy and responsive maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation works across residential and commercial properties
  • Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and carry out upgrades and servicing on a variety of electrical systems
  • Perform periodic inspections, testing, and certification in line with RECI requirements and current electrical regulations
  • Complete both minor and full rewiring projects while minimising disruption to tenants and occupants
  • Attend emergency call-outs and reactive maintenance issues, ensuring timely and safe resolution of faults
  • Work independently or as part of a wider maintenance team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Plan and manage daily workloads effectively to meet client requirements and service response targets
  • Maintain accurate digital records of completed works, inspections, and certifications
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and industry best practice
  • Maintain a professional, safe, and tidy working environment on all sites

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification
  • Minimum 4-5 years post-apprenticeship experience, ideally within property maintenance, facilities management, or similar environments
  • Accredited Electrical Qualified Certifier (QC) status is essential
  • Strong experience in fault-finding, reactive maintenance, inspections, testing, and rewiring works
  • Good understanding of building services and general construction activities would be beneficial
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on quality, compliance, and safe working practices
