Orange Recruitment are now sourcing a Boiler Technician to deliver both scheduled and emergency maintenance services, as well as support the installation of new mechanical systems for our Dublin based Facility Management client. Your work will help ensure that facilities operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, creating an environment that supports day-to-day business activities.You will take ownership of maintaining plant equipment and utility systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company, client, environmental, health and safety, and quality standards. This is a nationwide, field-based role requiring travel to multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance across a range of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Identify potential faults early to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Service and maintain boilers, heating systems, pressure vessels, and associated mechanical components.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on malfunctioning equipment.
- Accurately complete and upload PPM documentation and service reports as required.
- Support the preparation of quotations and assist with the installation of new plant and machinery.
- Keep the helpdesk and engineering management team informed of equipment status and ongoing issues.
- Complete any training assigned by your line manager.
- Familiarise yourself with site-specific systems and procedures necessary to fulfil your duties.
- Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies, legislative requirements, and current industry regulations.
- Report accidents, incidents, and any irregular findings to your line manager promptly.
- Maintain plant rooms and work areas in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
Qualifications:
- Senior trade qualification in plumbing or mechanical services, or a diploma in a related mechanical engineering discipline.
- Experience working within utilities and/or facilities environments.
- RGI certification (formally trained and qualified).
- Demonstrated experience in both preventative and reactive maintenance roles.
- Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and relevant computer software.
- Proven ability to work independently in a similar maintenance environment.
