Director of Nursing, Limerick

This is a rare leadership opportunity to shape nursing services in a rapidly expanding hospital.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll provide senior professional leadership for nursing across the hospital at a pivotal time within a rapidly expanding service. You will be accountable for the quality, safety and professional standards of nursing care across all care settings, while shaping the strategic direction and continued development of nursing services.

You’ll join the Hospital Management Team, bringing strong clinical leadership and a modern, people-first approach – including creating a single nursing culture that unites legacy and newly recruited teams, while building a stable structure after significant growth.

You’ll bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, including at least 3 years at senior management level.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills, and a solutions-focused, accountable approach.
• High level of computer literacy, with experience using clinical and business systems/applications.
• Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development appropriate to the role.
• Flexible approach to work patterns in line with service requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to promote and sustain a culture consistent with Bon Secours values.

Essential qualifications

• NMBI Registration.
• Third-level qualification in Nursing and/or Healthcare Management.

Desirable.

• Master’s degree in Leadership, Management or Business Administration
