Mechanical Construction Manager

Orange recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join our clients site delivery team. This is a hands-on role focused on the day-to-day management of mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for coordinating site activities, managing labour and subcontractors, planning works, and maintaining control of materials, progress, and health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical works on site from installation through to completion
• Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out in line with programme and specifications
• Plan and sequence site activities to meet project milestones and deadlines
• Order materials, plant, and equipment, maintaining accurate records and stock control
• Monitor quality of works and address issues as they arise
• Ensure all works comply with project drawings, specifications, and safety requirements
• Enforce EHS procedures and promote a safe working environment at all times
• Provide regular progress updates to project management and complete required site and audit reports
• Oversee both on-site and off-site activities to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Strong background in Mechanical Services or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience working on large-scale or industrial construction projects
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a site or construction management role
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and deliver projects to tight deadlines
