Job Title: General Mechanical Operator

Reporting To: Production Manager

Job Summary

Applications are invited for the role of General Mechanical Operator. The successful candidate will support production and engineering operations by building air handling units to specification and ensuring high standards of quality and workmanship. This role requires effective coordination with production teams and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with production teams on all mechanical and engineering-related aspects of production.

• Build air handling units in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

• Ensure finished products are completed to a high-quality standard and within production timelines.

• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively in a workshop or production environment.

• Work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to work on own initiative.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company health and safety procedures.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in production manufacturing or working in an engineering or mechanical workshop environment.

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, including drills, impact drills, grinders, and chop saws.

• Ability to accurately use measuring tapes and other measuring devices.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
