Social Care Worker

Location: Co. Kildare
Service Type: Residential – Adults with Disabilities
Contract: Permanent (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Salary Scale: €36,379 (Point 1) – €52,445 (Point 12) per annum

Role Purpose

As a Social Care Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support within a residential setting. The role focuses on empowering individuals to achieve independence, social inclusion, and meaningful participation in daily life, in line with HIQA standards and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and care to adults with disabilities

• Promote dignity, independence, and choice at all times

• Support personal care, daily living skills, and emotional wellbeing

• Plan and facilitate structured activities, life skills, and community participation

• Encourage engagement in education, recreation, and social inclusion

• Maintain a safe, homely, and therapeutic environment

• Work flexibly across a roster, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers

Essential Requirements

• Level 7 degree in Social Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)

• Experience in residential, day service, or disability settings

• Knowledge of HIQA regulations and person-centred practice

• CORU registered or in the process of registration

• Full clean driving licence and own transport

• Authorised to work in Ireland
