Social Care Worker – Children’s Mainstream Residential Services

Permanent Full-Time

Location; Drogheda

We are currently recruiting Social Care Workers for private children’s mainstream residential services Drogheda Co Louth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, well-structured service that places the child at the centre of everything they do.

These services support children and young people who are unable to live at home, providing them with a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where they can grow, develop, and reach their potential.

The Role

As a Social Care Worker, you will:

• Support children and young people in all aspects of daily living
• Implement individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
• Promote emotional wellbeing, education, and social development
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
• Maintain accurate records in line with policies, procedures, and legislation
• Ensure compliance with Children First, HIQA standards, and organisational policies

Essential Requirements

• Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• CORU registration or actively in the process under section 91
• Experience working with children and young people
• Strong communication, empathy, and resilience
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
