Financial Planning Analyst – Cost Accountant

Orange Recruitment are seeking a detail-driven FP&A/ Cost Accountant with strong cost accounting experience in manufacturing. This role blends financial analysis and cost accounting with hands-on factory engagement, supporting leadership to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and drive performance.

Full time, Permanent position
Location: Drogheda, Co Louth
Salary: €75,000- €85,000 DOE
Hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 day WFH)

Key Responsibilities

• Own product costing, BOMs, and gross margin analysis.

• Analyse plant and line efficiency; develop KPI reporting.

• Partner with senior leadership on cost-saving and investment decisions.

• Support new product launches with accurate costings.

• Conduct CAPEX, labour, and overhead analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ cost accounting or FP&A experience in manufacturing.

• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of lean principles; FMCG/food experience a plus.

This is a varied role (40% factory floor, 60% desk-based) offering the chance to make a real impact.
