Orange Recruitment is currently seeking a Communications Administrator on behalf of a respected public sector organisation. About the Role

As Communications Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the communications strategy. Youll help the company engage with the public, stakeholders, and internal teams through digital content, media relations, events, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support including handling queries, documentation, and reception duties.
  • Assist in implementing the Communications strategy alongside the Executive Officer.
  • Help plan and organise stakeholder events and attend promotional events.
  • Monitor shared email inboxes and respond appropriately.
  • Support digital marketing efforts to drive engagement and traffic.
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure it remains accessible and informative.
  • Manage and schedule social media content.
  • Assist with digital advertising campaigns and performance reporting.
  • Ensure brand identity and accessibility standards are upheld across all content.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools, especially Canva.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Adaptable and open to feedback.

Desirable:

  • A third-level qualification or relevant experience in communications or a related field.
  • Ability to work through the Irish language.
  • Experience creating visual content for social media.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of digital best practices and innovative content creation
