Job Title: Temporary Research Officer
Location: Dublin South
Contract: Type: 6 month contract
Salary: €48,000 to €58,000 DOE pro rata
About the Role
Orange Recruitment is seeking a Temporary Research Officer to support its research activities focused on working conditions and sustainable work. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research that informs policy and improves working lives across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of experienced staff, you will:
- Assist in the design and conceptualisation of research projects, including drafting tender specifications and participating in evaluations.
- Conduct background research and provide general project support.
- Support data processing, literature reviews, and dissemination of research findings.
- Help organise research seminars, workshops, and meetings.
- Gather and analyse data from sources such as the European Working Conditions Survey.
- Contribute to drafting research outputs, including blog posts and short articles aligned with communication strategy.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Unit.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
A university degree in data analysis, sociology, economics, political science, or a related social science field.
Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with statistical software such as R, STATA, SPSS, or Python.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret statistical data.
- Excellent English writing and editing skills across various formats.
- Experience conducting literature reviews and desk research.
- High attention to detail.
- Genuine interest in research topics related to working conditions.
