Quality Officer
Location: Hybrid | North Dublin
Salary: €64K – €75K DOE
Start Date: IMMEDIATE
Annual Leave: 30 days p.a. pro rata
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Officer with 3-5 years’ experience in corporate or industry settings. This hybrid role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional ready to hit the ground running. You’ll work across quality management systems, audits, risk, and compliance, and support high-impact continuous improvement initiatives.
About the Role
As Quality Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing and developing quality and risk systems, ensuring compliance with key ISO standards, supporting internal and external audits, and acting as a liaison with accreditation and advisory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance organisation-wide Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 17021, ISO 27001, ISO 50001)
- Organise and manage document control systems for compliance with accreditation requirements
- Administer QMS software tools such as Q-Pulse and CalQRisk for audits, CAPA, document control, and feedback
- Ensure proper control of documents, templates, and records including authorship, approval, and accessibility
- Prepare and support internal and external audits, including documentation, follow-up, and relationship management
- Coordinate quality activities across departments and act as liaison with accreditation bodies
- Manage engagement throughout the accreditation cycle, including non-conformance tracking and corrective action closure
- Review linkages between risk, complaints, and CAPA
- Support new project implementation with relevant quality system changes
- Monitor and report performance metrics related to quality objectives and systems
- Plan and conduct internal audits and communicate results to management
- Lead or support activities to improve process efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
- Maintain and update the organisation’s Risk Register
- Provide leadership on risk-related matters for the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC)
- Foster a proactive quality and safety culture across the organisation
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (NFQ Level 8 or above)
- Certified Lead Auditor with a minimum of 5 years’ auditing experience
- Proven experience with ISO management systems (particularly ISO 9001, 17021, 27001, 50001)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organisation
- Highly proficient in MS Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Skilled in using quality and risk software (e.g., Q-Pulse, CalQRisk)
Desirable
- Experience with lean tools, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of requirements for certification bodies and accreditation processes
