Commercial Manager – Global Firm – Meath

Job Role: Commercial Manager – Global Firm – Meath – €100,000 per annum

Our client, based in Meath, are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a permanent role and will report to the Managing Director. This role will be overseeing the day to day commercial operations. As Commercial Manager, your main role will be to ensure existing projects are operating within agreed targets from a commercial perspective.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, supervising, and liaising with the estimating department.
• Agreeing and negotiating contracts.
• Negotiating and appointing Subcontractors.
• Reviewing & approving valuations for our main contractors.
• Negotiating terms & conditions including final accounts with our clients.
• Ensure all completed works are billed correctly
• Ensure all payments to Subcontractors are in line with budget and contractual targets.
• Ensure knowledge sharing and a consistent approach to pre-sales facilitating an efficient sales approach and a profitable project delivery.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with management, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation

Requirements

• Experience in a similar Commercial Manager role is essential.
• Understand contractual programs & adherence to deadlines.
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Excellent Project Management skills
• Strong knowledge of contractual agreements
• Strict adherence to deadlines
• Ability to analyse previous tenders and outcomes
• Excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Flexible in line with business requirements
