**New Role: Chief Financial Officer – Permanent – Dublin – DOE**

Our leading client, within the Travel and Tourism industry, based in Dublin, are currently recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer to join their business on a permanent basis. Salary for the role is DOE. This is a fast growing business providing exceptional travel experiences in 23 destinations across Europe. With their core business registered in the US and operations in Ireland, Italy, and beyond, they are expanding rapidly and need a dynamic and hands-on CFO who can drive their financial strategy and support their growth.

This is a hybrid position so you’ll need to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a high paced environment. You will work closely with the CEO and COO who are based in Rome, requiring flexibility to travel to their headquarters for in person collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage company and departmental budgets.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support our growth.
  • Improve accounting processes and guide the enhancement of our accounting software.
  • Produce financial and management reports, providing insights for executive decision-making.
  • Assist executives to set and analyse KPI performance on a monthly basis to surface trends and inform budget adjustments and revisions.
  • Supervise and ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping activities.
  • Coordinate all aspects of taxation, monitor tax compliance through collaboration with CPAs and law firms in the US, Italy and Ireland.
  • Manage and mentor an accounting team of three individuals.
  • Advise on guide fee structures and product pricing to safeguard operating profit.
  • Collaborate on salary determination, investment selections, and the design and management of bonus structures and incentive plans.
  • Support our expansion into new markets and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
  • Document existing processes and procedures, and recommend improvements.
  • Provide assistance to the accountant and bookkeeper with daily activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management.
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting (preferably in the tourism sector), with 3-5 years in a CFO role for a similar mid-sized business.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with international accounting and taxation across multiple justifications: specifically Irish, American & Italian accounting regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in financial software such as Xero.
  • Experience in a fast-growing environment is a plus.
  • A valid passport and a willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to adapt effectively to changing plans and priorities.
  • Be fun, have a sense of humour and a positive can-do mentality.
  • Legal authorization to live and work in Ireland.
  • Italian language skills are a plus.

The Role:

  • Full time role, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
  • Hybrid – a central Dublin office will be opening soon.
  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
