Job Title: Bid Manager (Food Service and Facilities)
Salary: €60,000 – €65,000
Location: Dublin
Role Overview:
As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality submissions that meet client requirements. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and support teams to develop and refine proposals that align with the business strategy, helping to secure and retain key contracts. This role offers the chance to streamline processes, bring fresh ideas, and make a real impact on the company’s success in competitive tendering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple bid submissions, overseeing the tender process from concept to completion.
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to create innovative and tailored tender documents.
- Prepare written proposal responses, ensuring on-time delivery and escalating issues when necessary.
- Contribute original content, including executive summaries, visions, and competitive differentiators, to strengthen proposals.
- Develop presentation materials to support sales and operations teams on bids.
- Ensure key differentiators are highlighted in proposals to align with client needs.
- Coach and guide technical and operations teams in producing quality content for bids.
- Continuously improve the bid process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor bid opportunities (new and retention) and manage bid/no-bid decisions.
- Provide support to food and property divisions and fulfil general bid team requirements, such as invoicing and content management.
Essential Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Facilities Management or Technical Bid Management role.
- Strong technical understanding of soft services, hard services, and M&E (Mechanical and Electrical).
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with high speed and accuracy under pressure.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
- Flexible and able to adapt to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Knowledge of InDesign or willingness to learn is an advantage.
